Improve Your Recall
3 one-hour class sessions PREREQUISITE: Family Dog Manners 1 Go to list of all courses to learn more about prerequisite class(es)
Wouldn’t it be great to call your dog and they run happily to you – at least most of the time if not every time? Improve Your Recall class invites you to learn how to greatly improve your everyday recall, even around significant distractions.
Special Notes: This is a 3-week class. I cannot promise you a perfect recall in 3 weeks, of course, it requires practice. But I can promise in this class the dog/human team will get skill-building practice and apply the science behind developing a good Everyday recall. You, the human half of your team, will need to continue to practice at home and in other places to develop a solid recall…but this class can be your starting point for those off-leash walks in the spring woods.
This class is best suited for: Dogs and humans who already have built a good relationship and who finished Family Dog Manners 1 but are still working on a reliable recall. Dogs need to be friendly to humans, not negatively reactive to humans.
Min/Max Enrollment: 4/8
